Although making films in the far corners of the world can often be like having to teach Cinema 101 every day of production, officially I am rather new to teaching in an academic setting.
During the 1990s, I taught a course at UCLA Extension on Guerilla Filmmaking, and I am presently starting my second year as a member of the adjunct faculty at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. In the Spring semester of last year I taught Graduate Level classes in Directing and Production. Last summer, I taught Intermediate Film Production and taught it again in the Fall along with Cinematography I. I also taught Cinematography 507 at The School of Cinematic Arts at USC this past Fall.
I would be pleased to discuss the opportunity to be a guest lecturer or to teach a seminar at film schools or universities anywhere in the Filmmaking world. Please feel free to contact me anytime; my most recent teaching evaluations are available upon request.
